The ring 
A solitaire diamond ring in an eight prong setting, with six small round cut diamonds embedded in the gold band. After sourcing the diamond from America, Edward booked a consultation with us in our Upper Street store in London to design the ring of Emma's dreams.

The couple

Edward and Emma met on the dating app 'Bumble' a couple of years ago and decided to go for a date, which happened to be Emma's first date ever on any dating app. They haven't looked back since and it was definitely meant to be!

The proposal

To propose Edward organised a long weekend at Chewton Glen, the country house hotel and spa in New Forest. After a romantic day spent having lunch by the seaside and enjoying the spa, Edward got down on one knee and proposed to Emma, who was completely taken by surprise and loved the ring! Champagne and flowers completed the perfect proposal.

In Edward's words

I knew Emma wanted something traditional and delicate, but I also wanted to make it a little bit different and personal. I thought a bespoke piece from Maya Magal would be perfect, we really like their contemporary and unique designs. The whole experience has been really good, from booking my first appointment to collecting the ring, and we look forward to having our wedding bands designed by them too.
