KEEP IT CLEAN.

  • Wash your hands thoroughly with antibacterial soap before touching your piercing.
  • Clean your piercing twice a day using a saline solution or a mild, fragrance-free liquid soap and warm water.
  • Gently remove any crusts/discharge around the piercing site using a cotton swab or pad soaked in saline solution.

AVOID IRRITANTS.

  • Avoid touching your piercing unnecessarily.
  • Avoid swimming in pools, hot tubs, or natural bodies of water until your piercing is fully healed.
  • Avoid applying cosmetics, lotions, or creams directly to the piercing area.

BE CAREFUL WITH CLOTHING.

  • Wear loose-fitting clothing that won't rub against or irritate your piercing.
  • Avoid wearing tight clothing or accessories that may catch on or apply pressure to the piercing site.

ADDITIONAL TIPS.

  • Avoid removing/changing the jewellery before your piercing has fully healed.
  • Keep your hair clean and away from the piercing site to prevent irritation.
  • Avoid excessive sun exposure or tanning beds during the healing process.

Proper aftercare is crucial for a successful piercing experience. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to contact your piercer for guidance.

HEALING TIME.

The healing time for piercings varies depending on the location and individual factors. Generally, earlobe piercings take 2-3 months to heal, while cartilage piercings may take 6-12 months or longer.

SIGNS OF INFECTION OR COMPLICATIONS.

  • Persistent redness, swelling, or pain around the piercing site.
  • Excessive warmth or tenderness.
  • Pus or discharge with a foul odour.
  • Red streaks extending from the piercing.
  • Fever or chills.

If you experience any of these symptoms, please contact your piercer or a healthcare professional immediately.
