We are seeking a highly organised and skilled Jewellery Production Coordinator & Bench Jeweller to join our team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for managing the production process of our in-house and outsourced collections, customer orders, and repairs, while also contributing directly to the production and completion of these tasks.
Our current colleague Emily is moving back to New Zealand and we would like to have a handover period from early/mid October. Ideally candidates would be free to work alongside her to learn the main duties and responsibilities of this position from this time period.
The role will be split between 50% administrative duties and 50% hands-on bench work.

Key responsibilities
Administrative
- Coordinate the production of in-house jewellery collections and manage outsourced production partners.
- Oversee and schedule the making of stock, customer orders, and repairs/alterations.
- Maintain accurate production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of stock and orders, whilst also keeping the retail and ecommerce team up to date on expected delivery of stock and new collections
- Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to track and manage production progress and maintain good relationships
- Handle the administrative aspects of repairs and alterations, including intake, quotes, and follow-ups with the retail team .
- Manage inventory of materials, tools, and supplies, ensuring efficient stock levels for production.
- Organise and maintain clear records of customer orders, job sheets, and production timelines.
- Provide regular updates to the team and customers on the progress of orders and repairs.
Bench Jeweller:
- Assist in the production of in-house jewellery collections and custom pieces.
- Carry out repairs and alterations on customer jewellery.
- Assemble, polish, and finish jewellery pieces to a high standard.
- Ensure quality control throughout the production process.
- Work with various metals, stones, and techniques to create and repair jewellery.
Essential skills
- Prior experience in a similar production coordination role within the jewellery industry is highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a bench jeweller, with the ability to perform repairs, alterations, and production work to a high standard.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills to manage production schedules, orders, and repairs efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with team members, suppliers, and customers.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality production and accurate record-keeping.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues in production and bench work with creativity and efficiency.
- Familiarity with jewellery production techniques and tools.
- Knowledge of production workflows, timelines, and industry suppliers.
- Knowledge of CAD software (such as Adobe Suite and Rhino/Matrix) is a plus but not essential.
