Green Marquise Sapphire & Diamond Ring

We loved creating this three stone 18ct gold bespoke ring. It features an angled green marquise sapphire, small round white diamond and pale green round sapphire. Here's Holly & Andrew's Ring Story...

💍How did you meet?
We met at Sheffield University in 2012, whilst studying Architecture and after graduating moved to London together.

💍Tell us a little something about the proposal...
Andrew proposed whilst we were in Australia earlier this year. We were at the Opera House in Sydney and afterwards Andrew suggested we took a walk around the front to the harbour edge, he caught me totally by surprise by sinking onto one knee and asking me to marry him. Andrew initially proposed with Maya Magal organic ring as a 'promise' ring which I still wear everyday.

💍 What inspired the design for your ring?
Being architects we both love design and had always envisaged designing a ring together. We were keen to achieve something modern that referenced traditional rings, i.e traditional cut stones arranged asymmetrically. The tilted marquise sapphire also reminds me of the geometry of the Opera House sails.

💍 How was your experience designing your ring together with the Maya Magal team?
It was great, we initially met Ella to discuss our design and who completely understood what we were keen to achieve. Nathan then helped us select our stones and kept us in the loop throughout the whole process. We’re both so pleased with the finished result!
