The Cut

The Emerald Cut

Most often associated with art deco jewellery from the 1920s and 1930s, the timeless simplicity of the emerald cut translates to an easy elegance, perfect for the modern bride.

The Oval Cut

Another timeless choice, a classic oval cut beautifully highlights the unique characteristics of any gemstone, from deep blue sapphires to speckled grey diamonds.

Something Different

When we source our gemstones, we look for something a little different. Unexpected cuts, such as the kites, half moons, and trapeze cuts are what make our wide variety of one-of-a-kind rings extra special.

 

The Colour

While diamonds are often a favourite choice to mark engagements, coloured gemstones are growing in popularity as a way to add something a little unexpected to a time-honoured tradition.

Sapphires  

Sapphires have long been a popular choice for engagement rings. More commonly known for their deep blue colour, this precious gemstone is available in a rainbow of shades, including yellow, teal, white, and green.

Tourmalines

Tourmalines are also found in a myriad of colours,  including unique bi-colour variants, such as  the watermelon tourmaline, named so for their distinct range of pink and green hues.

 

The Stone Setting

While the classic solitaire setting remains a timeless staple of engagement ring design, there are a wide variety of contemporary settings to compliment all personalities and preferences.

Bezel Settings

In a bezel setting the metal used to hold the stone in place covers the edges of the gemstone. This offers more protection for the gemstone and is often seen as a contemporary alternative to the claw setting. If you’re thinking of choosing a classic solitaire ring, a bezel or partial bezel setting is a great way to add a modern twist to a timeless style.

Cluster and Multi-Stone Settings

Cluster and multi-stone settings are a perfect opportunity to create a beautifully balanced ring, playing with gemstones in a variety of colours, cuts, and shapes to create something completely unique. East to West Settings

Recycled solid gold

To avoid unnecessary mining impact and to reduce our impact on the environment, we work exclusively with recycled solid gold to create our one-of-a-kind and bespoke engagement rings. Our London workshops are zero-waste, meaning any leftover solid gold is melted down to be saved for future designs.

Tapered, split, wide, or sweeping

Choosing a complimentary band is key to highlighting the unique cut and colour of your chosen gemstone. Wide bands are perfect if you're looking to achieve a bold, statement making look.  Gently tapered or sweeping band designs offer a more delicate option, ideal for stacking with a coordinating wedding band.

As we become increasingly aware of the impact our choices have on the world around us, it’s only natural that sustainability becomes a core consideration in the search to find the perfect engagement ring.

Lab grown diamonds

A popular choice for those opting for more sustainable engagement rings, lab grown diamonds are chemically and physically identical to natural diamonds. Completely traceable in their origin, they are guaranteed to meet ethical trading standards and have zero mining impact.

Recycled and Vintage Diamonds

We work with recycled diamonds, hand-selected and repurposed from existing jewellery. These gemstones are re-used and re-loved without any additional mining impact and sourced from local suppliers and family-owned businesses. A sustainable choice for those searching for the perfect natural diamond.
