Here at Maya Magal we are always excited to work on an engagement ring and we love seeing how different the designs become depending on the couple. What makes our bespoke rings beautiful, besides the skills of our jewellers, is the story of the couples who choose us to make their dreams come true.
Today we are excited to share Kate and Laura's engagement ring: it's high time we introduced this beautiful ring!

The ring

Art Deco inspired white gold design with a beautifully cut red Ruby snuggled between white Diamonds. Laura wanted the ring to be inspired by her now fiancée Kate, who loves Rubies, which are also her birthstone being a Leo. Kate also has a huge passion for the art deco period, so Laura wanted to combine those two key elements within the ring design.

The couple

Kate and Laura met nearly 4 years ago thanks to a chance encounter that then led to their first date. It was love at first sight and as their relationship kept growing stronger they both knew they were ready to settle down and build a future together. Laura only needed the perfect ring for the proposal!

The proposal

Laura couldn't wait to propose to Kate so she organised a special weekend in Venice, with a suite in the boutique hotel Heureka. One night, after dinner, she got down on one knee and surprised Kate with this beautiful ring. A very special and emotional moment for both of them!

In Laura's words

From beginning to end the experience with the Maya Magal team has been lovely, seeing the initial design concept of the ring come to life after discussing my ideas with Maya, and to then see the finished ring on Kate’s finger, it’s been truly wonderful and everything was done in the timescale I wanted, and the communication from the entire team was excellent.
