💘 How did you two meet?
We met 8 years ago in a hotel in Brazil. We had both booked onto the same tour starting in Brazil and finishing in Argentina. After a 30 day whirlwind romance, we went our separate ways, Regitse going back to Denmark and I went back to London. After 4 years in and out of contact, I decided to go an see Regitse in Denmark again - and now here we are!
💘Tell us a little something about the proposal...
I proposed at home in the morning whilst we were having coffee on a Friday (we were both working from home). I sing and play the guitar and used to write Regitse songs when we first met (I was 18!) so I wrote a little song as a throwback and then got down on one knee - I had the ring in my pyjama pocket! I had booked as a surprise for us to go to Paris for the weekend the next day, and had called Regitse’s manager secretly to book her the Monday off!
💘What inspired the design for your ring?
Regitse had a Pinterest board with a few ring ideas on, and I ended up combining a few bits from that. I wanted something vintage looking, with a unique cut but not too big. Everyone who has seen it thinks it’s “totally Regitse”
💘How was your experience designing your ring?
Brilliant. I went in a bit unaware of everything, but I felt like I had loads of information given to me. The team were really understanding about my budget and made great suggestions about how to make something different and bespoke. I ended up being surprisingly fussy! And Karolina was really patient when I made a few changes.
