Position type: Mid-Level, onsite, Full-Time (5 full days per week)
We are looking for a passionate and organised Store Manager to join the Maya Magal London team. This role is ideal for someone with strong retail experience and a genuine interest in jewellery, craftsmanship and customer service.
As Store Manager, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional in-store experience while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the store. You will oversee retail operations, support sales growth, manage stock and repairs coordination, and help develop the retail team. Working closely with the Retail Manager, workshops and marketing team, you will ensure the store reflects Maya Magal’s commitment to modern craftsmanship, thoughtful design and outstanding customer service.
This is a hands-on role in a small, collaborative team, suited to someone who is proactive, detail-oriented and passionate about building meaningful relationships with customers.
Retail Operations & Customer Experience
- Deliver consistently high standards of product-led customer service, using in-depth knowledge of jewellery, materials and production processes.
- Identify and capture revenue opportunities through client follow-ups, digital payment links and custom design quotations.
- Oversee accurate stock control in line with company policies to minimise loss and discrepancies.
- Support fulfilment of online orders, including packing, shipping and processing returns.
- Order and maintain office and store consumables to ensure smooth daily operations.
Customer Service & Client Relationships
- Assist in management of online customer service channels (WhatsApp, website enquiries), ensuring timely, professional and accurate responses.
- Support bespoke sales in store by identifying opportunities and referring enquiries to the Bespoke Team.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with VIP and repeat customers to encourage loyalty and return visits.
Jewellery Production, Repairs & Stock Coordination
- Liaise with the Retail Manager and workshop regarding repairs and alterations to ensure accurate quotations and clear timelines for customers.
- Monitor stock levels and oversee inventory management to ensure accuracy and compliance with company procedures.
Visual Merchandising & Marketing
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to ensure in-store visual merchandising aligns with brand guidelines and seasonal campaigns.
- Use Money Mapping data to optimise product placement and maximise sales opportunities.
People Management
- Support the Retail Manager in the management, training and development of Part-Time Retail Stylists.
- Help maintain a positive, collaborative team environment and uphold company service standards.
Compliance, Health, Safety & Sustainability
- Uphold health, fire safety and wellbeing procedures.
- Maintain and update risk assessments and relevant documentation for the store.
- Monitor compliance with legislation, internal policies and insurance requirements.
- Support and promote the company’s environmental and sustainability values.
Miscellaneous
- Assist senior management with ad-hoc operational tasks and new projects as required.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Previous experience working in luxury retail, ideally within fine jewellery or a similar premium brand environment.
- Jewellery knowledge or experience, either through sales or education.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients.
- Highly organised with good attention to detail.
- Experience working in a retail environment and supporting day-to-day store operations.
- Availability to work one weekend day.
Preferred:
- Experience in a management or senior sales role within luxury retail.
- Familiarity with Google Suite (Gmail, Google Sheets etc.), Shopify and associated apps.
