Black Friday Alternative 2023: The Maya Magal Archive
Why Are We Opting Out of Black Friday?
As the festive season approaches, so does Black Friday. With November 24th just a few weeks away, we’ve made the decision to opt out of a traditional Black Friday Sale. Instead, we will be opening the Maya Magal Archive. A treasure trove of Maya Magal icons crafted in sterling silver and 18ct gold plated sterling silver. Read on to discover more on how to access our Archive and to explore our sustainable jewellery alternatives.
What is Black Friday?
Originating in the U.S. as the day after Thanksgiving and marking the beginning of the holiday shopping season, Black Friday has become a worldwide phenomenon.
Why Are We Choosing to Opt out of Black Friday?
Over the last year we have been working hard to make sustainable business changes and minimise our negative impact on the planet. Our new collections are made in-house, in our zero-waste London workshops. We work with recycled materials to handcraft our jewellery, and we create our new collections in limited quantities to avoid over-production and waste.
Our commitment to making high quality, luxury jewellery with minimal waste is conflicting with the nature of Black Friday and a traditional Black Friday sale stands at odds with our brand values. So instead of offering a flash sale on older designs that no longer adhere to our improved methods of production, we’re opening up the Maya Magal Archive.
Our jewellery is designed to be timeless and handcrafted in London to last a lifetime. Discover our solid gold jewellery collection for a perfect lifelong addition to your jewellery box or read on to discover our Black Friday alternative.
What is Our Black Friday Alternative?
While we won’t have a traditional Black Friday Jewellery sale this year, we are opening our Maya Magal Archive as a more conscious Black Friday alternative. Our Maya Magal Archive will stay open, giving you time to make a conscious and considered purchase to treasure for years to come. Featuring classic Maya Magal pieces from past collections, our archive is intended to give you the chance to shop some of our much-loved pieces without any additional environmental impact from new materials. We hope that through this Black Friday alternative you’re able to find the jewellery you love without encouraging overconsumption.
If you were hoping to find the perfect engagement ring this Black Friday, our bespoke design service is a great option, giving you the opportunity to create something truly one of a kind with a lifetime care guarantee.
What Jewellery Offers are in Our Archive?
The archive will feature a selection of our classic rings, necklaces and earring deals, crafted with sterling silver and 18ct gold plate. By following the advice in our jewellery care guide, you can extend the lifespan of these pieces even further. We always advise caring for the pieces we already own as the most sustainable way of enjoying your pieces. Our jewellery comes with a 2-year warranty but even after this you can always feel free to bring your jewellery back to us for repairs or just a freshen up!
How to Access Our Archive
Sign up to our Newsletter to attain exclusive access to our Black Friday Alternative jewellery deals. Once signed up, you will be invited to browse some of our most-loved pieces from our past collections which are no longer available to buy on our website. Make sure to measure your ring size before purchasing any rings in our Archive to ensure you find the perfect fit.
