HOW TO MEASURE YOUR RING SIZE AT HOME
1. Use an adjustable ring sizer
The most reliable way to measure your ring size is with an adjustable ring sizer - the same style used in jewellers’ workshops.
HOW TO USE IT
- Slide the sizer onto your finger.
- Tighten until it feels snug but comfortable.
- Check the letter that aligns with the arrow - that’s your UK ring size.
Order our adjustable ring sizer for 50p, and ensure a perfect fit for any Maya Magal ring.

If you have a ring that fits the same finger, use our Printable Ring Size Guide.
HOW TO USE IT
- Download and print the guide at 100% scale.
- Place your ring on the circles until the inside edge matches one perfectly.
- Use the corresponding letter size.
This method is quick, easy, and reliable - especially for engagement and signet rings.
DOWNLOAD THE PRINTABLE GUIDE3. Use the string or paper method
A simple method if you don’t have a ring nearby.
You'll need:
- A thin strip of paper or string
- A pen
- A ruler
HOW TO MEASURE
- Wrap the string or paper around the base of your finger.
- Mark where the ends meet.
- Measure the length in millimetres.
- Compare the measurement with our UK ring size chart.
This method is a helpful starting point, though less precise than using a ring sizer.

TIPS FOR ACCURATE RING SIZING
- A ring should fit snugly enough that it won't slip off, but loose enough to slide comfortably over your knuckle.
- Finger size can vary throughout the day due to temperature, hydration and activity levels. For the most accurate measurement, size your finger when it feels normal and comfortable.
- Your dominant hand is often slightly larger than your non-dominant hand. Measure the finger you'll be wearing the ring on.
- If you're purchasing a surprise gift, borrowing a ring that is already worn on the same finger can help provide a useful size guide.
- Rings with stones that sit across the full width of the band may fit more snugly than a simple band and can benefit from a slightly larger size.
- Wide bands and chunky ring styles can fit more snugly than delicate bands. If you're choosing a signet ring or a wider design, you may prefer to size up slightly for a more comfortable fit.
