PANEL: Let’s talk Sustainability

It’s Important to be Sustainable. But it's Not Easy.

Climate change is an overwhelming issue. It can be hard to know how to start living a more eco-friendly life, or whether there is any point trying. So we are getting together a panel of brands that are making a conscious effort to make a difference. We are going to find out their ideas, tips and tricks for small steps you can take to becoming more eco-friendly. Whether you want to learn a bit more about sustainability, or are interested in hearing the stories behind these brands - join us!

As a business we are launching workshops using recycled silver where possible, repurposing old jewellery / past collections and encouraging customers to bring back their packaging for reusing. However, we still have so much to learn, and we are excited to host this panel with brands pioneering change in their industries.

The Panel:

  • Jessica Barlow: Head of Communications at Karma
Rescuing unsold food. Karma is the take away food app connecting restaurants, cafes and grocery with surplus food to hungry people with a keen eye for a bargain.
  • Alec Mills: Co-Founder of DAME

The sustainable period care brand cleaning up the industry from plastic waste, harsh chemicals and period shame. To tackle waste, DAME created the world’s first reusable tampon applicator, along with their own range of organic, biodegradable tampons.

  • Jack Scott: Co-Founder of Dash Water

British sparkling spring water infused with wonky fruit (ones not wanted by the supermarkets) for a subtle dash of flavour, containing no sugar, sweetener or calories. Championing a worthwhile cause to minimise foodwaste.

  • Natalie-Anne Hassec: Co-Founder of Onloan
A fashion subscription service that lets you rent standout clothes without the guilt. They're inspired by past decades where clothes were less disposable, more fun and better made. When fashion was truly enjoyed, not consumed.

Let’s support each other in the positive changes that we are making, and not feel bad for being imperfect humans or brands. Hope to see you there!
